Kendra has over 15 years of experience working in private and public charter schools. Her commitment to serving underserved populations has driven her work as a teacher, principal, director of network operations, and leadership consultant. These experiences give her expertise in growing and sustaining school cultures, leadership capacity building, strategic planning, and growing successful schools from inception or through the school turnaround process.
Kendra was the founding principal of Peachtree Hope Charter School, a K-5 public charter school in East Atlanta, and served as director of network operations for the Ivy Preparatory Academies, a network of single-gender charter schools in Atlanta. She most recently served as the deputy director of school operations for the SABIS Education Network, which includes 12 charter and private schools throughout the United States. She holds a Master of Science in educational leadership from Walden University.
Kendra enjoys volunteering for the community with organizations like Urban League of Greater Atlanta and her church. She was born in Boise, Idaho, loves cooking and event planning, and also volunteers as a founding board member for the first 5K for plus-size women – The Plus Strut!
