Heidi loves coaching and supporting coaches and teachers to be the most effective instructors they can be for their students. She is committed to turning around schools in her home state of Michigan and across the country. Prior to joining the CT3 team, Heidi worked as a manager of Teacher Leadership Development and a Real Time Teacher Coach for Teach For America’s New Orleans region. She also worked as a founding director of New Teacher Development and founding assistant principal at a successful urban charter school in New Orleans. There, she coached her teachers to make significant gains with their students.
Heidi passionately works to ensure that every student receives an excellent education. She holds a master’s degree in elementary education and special education from Dominican University and her bachelor’s in women’s studies and psychology from the University of Michigan. Heidi has visited the Great Pyramid of Giza, and loves to travel, read, do yoga, and walk her dog Cornbread. She also volunteers as a Girls on the Run coach.
